Unfortunately, due to beauty standards, we all want to have a thin body. However, these tissues are essential for the healthy functioning of our body. Adipose tissue not only releases hormones that regulate metabolism and appetite, but also affects insulin sensitivity. But be careful, excessive calorie intake can lead to the expansion and proliferation of fat cells. This, in turn, can worsen your health by increasing chronic inflammation. The areas where fatty tissues accumulate vary from person to person. But most often it is the stomach. This type is called visceral or intra-abdominal fat. Visceral fat surrounds important internal organs in our body such as the liver, pancreas, kidneys, and heart. When we consume excess calories and do not exercise enough, we immediately begin to notice this fat. Abdominal fat can be a sign of a low metabolism or a hormonal imbalance. As women age, they change the areas of their body where fat is deposited. Therefore, even if we do not gain weight over the years, we are more likely to accumulate fat in the abdomen.
The disproportionate accumulation of fat in the upper arms may be due to hormonal changes in the body. For example, if you are taking any medications that change hormone levels, you may notice a buildup of fatty tissue in your upper arms. Women are more likely to have oily hands than men. As testosterone levels drop in women during menopause, they may gain weight in their upper arms.
The buttocks are also known as the center of fat accumulation in women. While the cause is usually genetic, too much gluten, dairy consumption, lack of physical activity, and estrogen-based drugs such as birth control pills can also cause fat to accumulate in this area.

If fat accumulates in the lower back and around the waist, you are probably not consuming enough protein. Regular consumption of processed foods, refined carbohydrates, and sugary drinks, as well as lack of exercise, can lead to belly fat. This tissue is often observed not only in women, but also in men.
