Musical love story shot on iPhone 14 Pro: Fursat

Filming a musical on your phone? Yes, Apple is innovating yet again with a musical love story shot on the iPhone 14 Pro: Fursat! Fursat is a Bollywood-style musical about the power of love, filmed on the iPhone 14 Pro. All elements of popular cinema, especially Bollywood-specific songs and dance choreographies, have never been used in a non-commercial production until today in the film, which features award-winning Bollywood director Vishal Bhardwaj sitting in the director’s chair, with famous Bollywood personalities taking part in the filming and behind-the-scenes crew. coming together on an unprecedented scale.
“Fursat”, which gave the title to the film, is a meaningful word expressing the possession of time. Depending on the context, this word can have different meanings, such as fun, comfort, idleness, and peace. Essentially, this movie conveys the idea that a person can only find and experience love as long as they appreciate what they have in the present, don’t get stuck in the past, and don’t worry about the future.

Music is essential in a Bollywood blockbuster. All the music that accompanies Fursat can be found on Apple Music. In order for the audience to listen to the songs most effectively, there is an album with Fursat soundtracks, presented with Spatial Sound technology.
Vishal Bhardwaj, director of Fursat: “A traditional film camera includes 10 people, 3 operators and 10 box lenses. For this reason, it becomes difficult for you to move and you cannot act quickly. In this sense, the iPhone has greatly liberated me. The feature that surprised me the most was the drive mode. During the filming of Fursat, we recorded many scenes in Motion mode. When you look at raw footage, the visuals look very shaky and unstable. However, in driving mode, everything is very smooth. You have to see it with your own eyes to believe it. I have never worked on such a large scale in my previous films. This can give you an idea of the scale that the iPhone is capable of. The iPhone as a device pushes people beyond our youth. We used to lack the luxury that the iPhone affords today’s aspiring filmmakers.”
Cinematographer Swapnil Sonavan: “I didn’t know the iPhone could do so much. Whatever he did, he did it perfectly. I think the most exciting update is the drive mode. While you’re running as fast as you can while holding the device in your hand and watching the actor, you can capture exceptionally flawless footage that doesn’t shake even when you don’t use an external stabilizer. Cinematic mode changes focus in the same way that a camera assistant does focusing. This shift in focus has an emotional impact. This feature is just perfect.”

Motion mode lets you record smooth, shake-free movies even when shooting in the middle of action. You can easily switch to motion mode in video mode. What’s more, this mode provides even more stabilization in situations where the person filming the video moves quickly, such as running. Ideal for shooting outdoors, Motion mode uses a wider field of view and advanced roll correction to help keep the horizon level despite heavy traffic and vibration. Supporting resolutions up to 2.8K and video recording at 60 frames per second, Motion mode becomes a powerful creative tool when used with Dolby Vision or ProRes recording. Motion mode lets you capture smooth movies that look great when shooting handheld without having to carry extra equipment like a gimbal.
The 4K Cinematic mode offers stunning depth of field effects and makes it easy and convenient to change the autofocus in video. So everyone can capture a more impressive storytelling style by taking cinematic shots. Cinematic Mode now supports 4K resolution for video up to 30fps, including video capture at 24fps. Thus, you can sign footage that does not look like a movie. It also provides better semantic rendering for textures such as hair and glass. Focus can be changed both during and after shooting for greater creative control. Cinematic mode also lets you record video in Dolby Vision HDR quality.
